1 Day Kampala City Trip, Kampala is the capital city of Uganda located in the central part of Uganda also known as the city of the 7 hills of Nakasero, Nsambya, Mengo,Old Kampala,Namirembe,Lubaga,Kibuli. Kampala obtained its name from impala  locally known as” kempala” which was the hunting ground for the kabaka of buganda, the attractions around the city are mostly historical, religious ,commercial and cultural as they can be seen below.

Among the religious attractions that Kampala offers is the oldest and most visited Gaddafi mosque siting on a 10 acres of land emerging as the second largest in Africa accommodating over 200,000 worshipers.

Kasubi tombs

drive to the historical Kasubi tomb which is a burial ground for the kabaka of buganda, the site in the above image is a grass thatched house which is the burial ground for the kings of buganda since time memorial, inside it are four royal tombs of kabaka mwanga,kabaka muteesa,kabaka Daudi chwa and sir Edward muteesa.

Baha’i temple

The Baha’i Temple was constructed in Uganda from 1958 to 1961. It became the first Baha’i Temple in Africa and was dedicated to Ruhiyyih Rabbani, an author and a prominent Guardian of the Baha’i Faith from 1937 to 1957. located on kikaaya hill, the temple was constructed by rare materials from different countries like the lower roof tiles from Belgium and quality timber from Uganda.

you will be driven to the kabaka’s palace locally known as the lubiri or Twekobe which is the home of the kabaka from time memorial since 1922 during the reign of kabaka Daudi chwa’ here expect to see the kabaka man made lake,the burning fire which is kept on till the death of the king, the four historical gates of Nalongo,kalala,wankaci and sabagabo.
